Delivery platform Talabat has initiated a trial of autonomous robots to streamline logistics within high-rise structures in Dubai. In collaboration with the Singaporean firm Quik, the pilot is currently operating at the A6 commercial facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The process involves human couriers transferring packages to a QuikBot at a specific building entry point. The robot then navigates elevators independently to reach the recipient's door, where the customer retrieves the item using a unique security code. This initiative aims to reduce the time couriers spend navigating building access, waiting for lifts, and traveling between floors. By integrating this technology, Talabat intends to evaluate efficiency gains and the overall performance of the automated system within a real-world delivery environment.
