The Thai government is intensifying initiatives to promote the national gaming industry internationally following a successful appearance at gamescom 2026 in Germany. Fifteen local companies participated in the Cologne-based event between August 26 and 30, facilitated by the Department of International Trade Promotion. During these sessions, the firms established a business pipeline estimated at over 270 million baht, approximately 8.19 million US dollars. Deputy government spokesperson Lalida Persvivatana stated that the administration intends to bridge the gap between domestic developers and global investors, distributors, and commercial partners. This effort aligns with the government's broader strategy to bolster the creative economy. While the reported figure represents potential future business rather than immediate revenue, the government views the second consecutive year of participation as a significant milestone for the country's digital entertainment sector.
