The Thai Red Cross Society recently acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Ketjutha Makrod, an emergency medicine specialist at Sanam Chai Khet Hospital, following her sudden passing. Known professionally as Dr. Ju, she fell ill unexpectedly while performing her clinical duties and subsequently entered a critical condition. In a gesture of compassion, her family chose to authorize the donation of her organs to assist individuals awaiting life-saving procedures. Medical professionals successfully recovered her kidneys, eyes, heart valves, skin, and bones for transplantation. The organization highlighted her legacy as a provider of new opportunities for multiple patients, expressing deep sympathy to her family during this period of mourning. Her actions underscore the vital importance of organ donation programs in Thailand, as her final decision has directly impacted the lives of several people currently in need of medical intervention.
