Turkey and Pakistan have officially agreed to send military personnel to Saudi Arabia to bolster the kingdom's defense capabilities. This decision follows a series of recent strikes targeting Saudi territory, including sensitive locations in Mecca and Medina. The deployment is organized under the framework of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, a mutual security pact ratified by the three nations in August. During an emergency summit held in Riyadh, officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia emphasized their commitment to collective security and condemned threats against the kingdom's sovereignty. While the joint statement did not explicitly name the Houthi movement, the move comes as Riyadh and its Yemeni allies initiate a military counteroffensive. This trilateral cooperation unites the significant military resources of Turkey and Pakistan with Saudi Arabia's strategic regional position to address ongoing security challenges.
