During interviews conducted at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Pennsylvania, Umut Altaş alleged that he witnessed the son of a provincial governor shoot the student. He further claimed to have assisted in placing the victim's body into a vehicle and overheard the suspect contact a security official to arrange for the disposal of the remains. This information was detailed in a 34-page report sent to Turkish authorities following a request for mutual legal assistance. The FBI document, which addresses allegations of murder and evidence tampering, was compiled after investigators posed over 100 questions to Altaş. The case remains a subject of official scrutiny as Turkish prosecutors review the provided statements.
