Major telecommunications providers in the United Arab Emirates, specifically etisalat and du, are actively enhancing their network capabilities as part of a broader transition toward 6G technology. Du recently implemented commercial U6GHz connectivity within its existing 5G+ framework, aiming to support high-capacity requirements for residential and industrial sectors. Simultaneously, etisalat has introduced a new service designed to triple data upload speeds for mobile users. These technological upgrades are intended to establish a robust foundation for future wireless communication, which is expected to facilitate greater global connectivity and support increasingly sophisticated intelligent devices. While 6G is anticipated to offer significant improvements in speed and operational efficiency over current 5G standards, the industry continues to navigate the technical challenges associated with deploying this next-generation mobile infrastructure.
