The World Hindu Council Nepal has formally requested that the Pashupati Area Development Trust improve security and oversight at the Pashupatinath Temple. This demand follows the emergence of a video appearing to show individuals in restricted areas of the temple, which is traditionally reserved for Hindu devotees. While the Council emphasized its commitment to constitutional religious freedom and respect for all faiths, it argued that such liberties do not permit the disregard of established religious customs and site-specific regulations. The organization expressed significant concern regarding current management practices and urged authorities to enforce existing rules more strictly. Furthermore, the Council has called for legal action against those responsible for the reported breach to prevent future occurrences and ensure the preservation of the temple's traditional worship practices and sanctity.
