Thai energy officials have identified an oil leak originating from a pipeline situated beneath the elevated Rama 3 Road in Bangkok. The issue was initially discovered on September 8 after investigators traced oil contamination found in local drainage systems and an underground cavity near Chuea Phloeng Road. Following the discovery, the government has mandated that the responsible companies conduct comprehensive repairs on the affected infrastructure. Furthermore, the operators are required to perform rigorous testing across the entire 32-kilometer pipeline network and must either replace or reroute any segments deemed to pose a high risk of future failure. The directive aims to ensure public safety and prevent further environmental impact in the surrounding urban area.
