Aviation officials in Pokhara have officially banned the use of drones, kites, and balloons, alongside the operation of laser lights, within the vicinity of both the new international airport and the older airfield. Airport chief Jagannath Niraula emphasized that these activities pose significant risks to aviation safety. Furthermore, the Civil Aviation Office has requested that local residents manage waste responsibly and avoid discarding animal carcasses in nearby canals. Such improper disposal attracts wildlife and birds, which creates hazardous conditions for aircraft during arrival and departure procedures. The administration has warned that individuals who fail to comply with these safety directives will face legal consequences in accordance with existing regulations.
