Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has issued an appeal for public support to aid victims of recent flash floods in the Gorkha district. The Budhigandaki River overflowed, carrying heavy silt and causing significant destruction to local infrastructure, including residential homes, marketplaces, and various bridge structures. The impact is particularly severe in the Chumnubri, Dharche, and Arughat regions, where multiple buildings and crossings have been swept away. Through a social media statement, Dahal requested that citizens participate in relief and rescue operations. Furthermore, he advised residents situated along the banks of the Budhigandaki and Trishuli rivers to exercise extreme vigilance and prioritize their personal safety as the situation remains critical.
