A special court in Delhi has ordered the release of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) members Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Saurav Das. The trio had been taken into preventive custody by Delhi Police prior to a planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar against the Chief Election Commissioner. Following their appearance before the Special Executive Magistrate, the individuals were released on the condition that they maintain public order for the next twelve months. Additionally, a surety bond of ₹50,000 was required. The police invoked Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to justify the detention. Section 126 relates to security for maintaining peace, while Section 170 empowers law enforcement to arrest individuals to prevent the commission of cognizable offenses. The detainees were apprehended shortly after arriving at the airport from Mumbai.
