The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that all stations across its network have resumed normal operations, with entry and exit points now fully accessible to the public. This restoration follows a period of significant disruption where dozens of stations, including major hubs like Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat, were closed due to security concerns. The restrictions were implemented at the request of local police in response to a protest led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The demonstration, which focused on alleged irregularities in electoral rolls, resulted in the detention of several prominent political leaders and activists. While initial advisories suggested extended closures, the DMRC confirmed that interchange facilities and station access are now available throughout the system. Security agencies reviewed the situation before allowing the transit network to return to its regular schedule.
