Bengaluru police have introduced traffic diversions and parking prohibitions around Sree Kanteerava Stadium to manage congestion during the 70th Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations on November 1. The event, attended by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, is expected to host over 20,000 students arriving in hundreds of buses. Authorities have redirected traffic flow on several key arterial roads and banned parking on major thoroughfares including Kasturba and Nrupathunga Road. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the state’s cultural heritage and technological contributions. Locally, DK Shivakumar confirmed he would remain in the state to oversee foundation day festivities and flag-hoisting duties across districts, opting to skip a scheduled political protest in Delhi to prioritize regional commitments. Party representatives and local leaders have been directed to manage the protest activities in his absence.
