The Beni-Jomsom road in Mustang has reopened to traffic, allowing for the movement of 173 cargo containers that had been stranded for two weeks. These vehicles, which were carrying goods imported from China through the Korala border point, are now traveling toward destinations including Kathmandu and Pokhara. According to local police information officer Sanotosh Basyal, the route became operational again on the evening of October 9. During the first two days of resumed operations, 85 and 88 containers departed respectively. Data from the Ghasa police post indicates that a total of 391 vehicles have exited the Mustang region since the roadway was cleared, effectively resolving the supply chain disruption that had halted transport in the area.
