During an official visit by Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé to China, President Xi Jinping introduced a four-point framework aimed at addressing regional instability across Africa. Xi emphasized that African nations must maintain primary control over their own affairs, asserting that the continent's residents are the rightful decision-makers regarding their future. Furthermore, he advocated for the consistent application of fairness and justice by all international stakeholders involved in mediation efforts. This proposal seeks to establish a structured approach for external parties to engage constructively in resolving ongoing hotspots on the continent, ensuring that regional sovereignty remains respected throughout the peace-building process.
