The Cockroach Janta Party has accused authorities of intentionally stalling the release of its members, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, through protracted bail proceedings. Ranka, Das, and Ajinkya Shinde were taken into police custody on October 13 following an unauthorized entry into Jantar Mantar, where they were protesting the revocation of the site's protest status. While Shinde's situation remains distinct, Ranka and Das continue to be held in judicial custody as their legal representatives struggle to secure a hearing. Concurrently, the Delhi Police have initiated a formal investigation into reports that an unidentified individual threatened the special executive magistrate tasked with overseeing the bail case. The party maintains that the ongoing judicial process is marred by procedural inconsistencies and purposeful postponements, preventing the timely liberation of their detained leadership.
