Recent Bhotekoshi River flooding has disrupted the education of 9,428 students across 32 schools in the Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading districts. Data released by the Children as Zone of Peace National Campaign (CZOP) indicates that 1,373 children have been forced from their homes and are residing in temporary shelters. The current assessment reveals that five students have died, while 488 remain missing. CZOP Chairperson Tilottam Poudel emphasized that children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and postpartum women face the highest risks during this disaster. During a media discussion, Poudel urged government authorities and relevant organizations to take immediate action to ensure the safety, welfare, and continued education of the affected youth.
