A coroner's inquiry concluded that a 14-day-old infant in Singapore passed away due to natural causes. The incident occurred in December 2025 when the newborn was discovered lying face down on his parents' bed. According to reports, the father had attended to the child during the early morning hours, feeding and burping him before the baby fell asleep. The father subsequently placed the infant between himself and the mother. The inquiry, held on September 8, determined that there was no criminal involvement in the child's death. The investigating officer provided the sole testimony during the proceedings, which were attended by the parents of the deceased child.
