Two siblings have been granted permission by the High Court to legally contest the Kuala Lumpur City Hall's authorization of a major residential project. The development, consisting of two 39-story towers and over 1,500 units, is situated within 11 meters of the brothers' residence on Jalan Klang Lama. Judge Datuk Azizan Md Arshad approved the application for a judicial review and issued a temporary halt on construction activities until a hearing scheduled for October 8. The legal challenge targets a development order and building plans finalized earlier this year. While the Attorney General’s Chambers did not contest the request for a review, they did raise objections regarding the interim stay. The brothers aim to nullify the approvals granted for the high-density project in Mukim Petaling.
