A coalition of approximately 70 Christian groups in Hong Kong has formally petitioned the government and legislative members to halt the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s current "Halloween Month" initiative. Led by the organization Yeshua Families Built in Love, the signatories argue that promoting this western festival is inappropriate, claiming it encourages themes related to death, malevolent spirits, and darkness. The petitioners expressed concern that such celebrations could negatively impact the development and well-being of the younger generation. Furthermore, the groups questioned the allocation of public funds toward an event they associate with occult practices, urging authorities to reconsider the use of government resources for this specific promotional campaign.
