A tragic incident occurred in Peshawar on Thursday when the roof of a private educational institution gave way, leading to the deaths of at least 20 students and one instructor. According to Muhammad Asim, a representative for Lady Reading Hospital, over 30 individuals sustained injuries and were transported for urgent medical care. The victims were all 13 years of age or younger. Hospital authorities have declared an emergency status to manage the influx of patients, some of whom remain in critical condition. Authorities are currently clearing the rubble, and there are concerns that the total number of casualties may increase as the recovery efforts continue.
