Iran has pledged to deliver a harsh response to any further military aggression following renewed skirmishes with U.S. forces. Recent hostilities saw U.S. Central Command strike Iranian tankers after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted American naval vessels with ballistic missiles. While the military conflict remains in a stalemate, Tehran is grappling with significant economic distress caused by U.S. sanctions, which have hampered oil exports and triggered domestic inflation. Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, emphasized that the nation is prioritizing economic stabilization and livelihood improvements alongside its military defense. Despite the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and repeated attacks on the Kharg Island export hub, Iranian leadership maintains that it will not yield to external pressure, asserting that domestic reforms remain the responsibility of the state rather than foreign powers.
