Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has received feedback from the United States regarding a seven-day proposal intended to foster trust between the two nations. The communication was facilitated by Qatari mediators in Doha following discussions held in the United States. The core of the Iranian plan involves restoring normal maritime operations in the Strait of Hormuz, provided specific conditions are satisfied. Although President Donald Trump initially dismissed the proposal, subsequent diplomatic efforts by Qatar have led to this latest exchange of information. The primary obstacle currently hindering progress remains the sequencing of the proposed measures. Araghchi is scheduled to review the American response with officials in Tehran to determine the next steps in the diplomatic process.
