The Islamabad High Court has issued a stern directive to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, requiring the removal of three individuals from the Passport Control List by next Monday. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan presided over the contempt of court proceedings initiated after authorities failed to comply with previous judicial orders regarding Afnan Khan, Khurram Shehzad, and Hadi Hussain. During the hearing, the judge highlighted a significant backlog of over 100 contempt petitions currently before the court, with 16 specifically under his jurisdiction. The court explicitly warned that failure to submit a formal compliance report by the specified deadline would result in the continuation of contempt proceedings, noting that unconditional apologies would not be accepted as a substitute for fulfilling the court's mandates.
