Following an indecisive election outcome, political rivals of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are intensifying efforts to form a governing coalition. Neither the incumbent right-wing faction nor the opposition group headed by Gadi Eisenkot secured a clear parliamentary majority. To potentially unseat the Prime Minister, the opposition bloc is exploring a partnership with Arab political representatives, who achieved a historic 19 seats in the Knesset. A combined alliance between these groups could command 67 out of 120 seats, though such a coalition remains politically contentious given the current regional climate. The formal government formation process is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, pending the delivery of certified election results to President Isaac Herzog, who will then initiate consultations to determine the next steps for the Israeli government.
