The Johor state administration has initiated a comprehensive search and capture mission targeting five stray dogs responsible for injuring a two-year-old child in Kampung Tambak, Batu Pahat. State religious committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khaled confirmed that the Batu Pahat district office is coordinating this effort alongside the police and the Veterinary Services Department. The operation is scheduled to run for at least seven days, utilizing various legal surveillance and monitoring tactics to locate the animals. Officials stated that this initiative aims to mitigate the risks posed by stray dog populations in the region and prevent future attacks on residents. The government remains focused on ensuring public safety following the recent incident involving the young victim, Nur Haira Wafiqah Muhammad Hamizi.
