Kazakhstan witnessed a significant surge in crude oil exports, reaching a record high of 76.3 million tonnes in 2025. This figure represents a 7.4% increase compared to the previous year and a 20% rise since 2015, when exports stood at 63.6 million tonnes. Official statistics indicate that Italy continues to be the primary destination for Kazakh oil, with the Caspian Pipeline Consortium serving as the main transport route. This growth in export capacity aligns with the nation's record-breaking production levels, which hit 99.6 million tonnes in 2025. Enhanced output from the Tengiz oil field is identified as a major contributor to this upward trend in the country's energy sector performance over the last decade.
