State Counselor Erlan Karin recently led a high-level discussion regarding the advancement of presidential mandates focused on safeguarding children's welfare. During the session, officials reviewed the progress of the "Kazakhstan’s Children" Concept, a strategic framework spanning 2026 to 2030 initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Key participants included the Commissioner for Children's Rights, the Prosecutor General's office, and representatives from the ministries of education, labor, and healthcare. A notable highlight of the meeting was the reported 45 percent reduction in the most severe criminal offenses targeting children. Karin reiterated that fostering an environment conducive to the comprehensive growth and protection of the younger generation remains a central pillar of the current national policy agenda.
