Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman announced that the Makkah Alliance for Defense has reached a consensus to implement collective deterrence strategies. This decision follows an emergency session of the alliance’s Strategic Political and Defense Committee held in Riyadh, which included representatives from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Türkiye. The meeting was convened to address recent hostile actions directed at the Kingdom and its sacred locations. Prince Khalid emphasized that the member nations remain united in their commitment to confront these threats. By activating these collective measures, the alliance aims to hold those responsible for the aggression accountable and bolster regional security. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also participated in the discussions, which underscored the shared resolve of the participating countries to maintain stability and protect critical sites from further provocation.
