Mohammad Dahlan, a prominent figure within Fatah’s Democratic Reform faction currently based in the United Arab Emirates, has formally refuted claims that he played a role in a recent Haaretz article. The report in question suggested that the Emirati government had issued warnings to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prior to the October 7 attacks. In response to the publication, Netanyahu has publicly accused Dahlan of being the architect behind what he characterizes as a fabricated story. Furthermore, the Israeli Prime Minister has declared his intention to initiate legal proceedings for libel against both the newspaper and the journalist responsible for the piece, Shlomi Eldar. Dahlan’s denial follows the Prime Minister's efforts to discredit the allegations circulating in the media regarding prior intelligence communications between the two nations.
