A high-speed BMW accident on Mumbai's coastal road resulted in the deaths of three college students and left one critically injured. Authorities estimate the vehicle was traveling at approximately 120kmph, well above the 80kmph limit, when it struck a barrier and fell 75 feet from an elevated bridge. The Tardeo police are currently conducting a thorough investigation, which includes checking for potential mechanical issues and alcohol consumption. The Regional Transport Office is also inspecting the wreckage to determine the cause of the loss of control. This tragic incident has prompted renewed concerns regarding motorists treating the coastal route as a racetrack. Since the road's opening in 2024, seven fatalities have been recorded. The victims, all students, were returning from South Mumbai when the crash occurred early Sunday morning.
