The Nepal National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs has issued a safety advisory for road travelers due to predicted rainfall across several provinces. From October 29 through October 31, weather forecasts indicate moderate rain and strong winds in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, with similar conditions expected in Karnali and Sudurpaschim. High-altitude regions are also bracing for potential snowfall. Consequently, the federation has instructed transport operators to exercise heightened vigilance for both short and long-distance routes. Tourists are strongly discouraged from visiting Himalayan or high-hill areas, and those currently in these locations are advised to stay in secure environments. Furthermore, the federation has authorized transport providers to halt services if conditions become hazardous, provided that the public is notified of these disruptions in advance.
