Recent data from the Freedom of Expression Association indicates that Turkish courts have restricted access to 767 individual game pages on the Steam platform. This figure represents a significant increase from the 255 pages blocked as of late September and the 45 identified in late August. While the platform itself remains accessible to users in Turkey, specific titles have been targeted by court-mandated restrictions. According to the association’s EngelliWeb project, the vast majority of these blocked games, approximately 99 percent, are labeled with mature content warnings. Specifically, 725 of the restricted titles are categorized as containing adult sexual content, while 92 feature depictions of frequent violence or gore. Five of the blocked games do not carry any specific mature content classification.
