A newly constructed bridge spanning the Yalu River, which serves as the natural boundary between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is scheduled to commence operations this Thursday. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed that the opening follows a bilateral agreement between the two nations and will be marked by a joint ceremony. This infrastructure project is intended to enhance connectivity, streamline trade activities, and support increased interaction between the populations of both neighboring countries. Officials emphasized that the bridge represents a significant development in the ongoing cooperative relationship between Beijing and Pyongyang, facilitating smoother transit across the river that separates the two states.
