The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is calling on pet owners to initiate legal proceedings against a crematorium facility located in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. This follows the discovery of 29 animal remains that were improperly discarded. According to the animal welfare organization, the facility may have committed fraud, specifically estafa through deceit, by misleading clients regarding the final disposition of their deceased pets. PAWS issued a formal statement on Saturday highlighting that the affected families were under the impression that their animals had been handled according to the agreed-upon cremation services. The organization is now advocating for those impacted to seek justice through the formal legal system to hold the service provider accountable for their actions.
