The People’s Party has initiated a no-confidence motion against 18 Bhumjaithai ministers, including Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, citing allegations of corruption and institutional manipulation. Opposition deputy leader Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn has urged coalition partner Pheu Thai to prioritize national interests over political alliances during the parliamentary debate. Wiroj specifically questioned Pheu Thai’s knowledge regarding the Senate selection scandal, suggesting they may possess significant information on the matter. While the opposition maintains that their focus is based on evidence of misconduct rather than political maneuvering, the exclusion of Pheu Thai ministers from the motion has prompted public scrutiny. In response, Deputy Prime Minister Yotsanan Wongsawat emphasized coalition unity, while Anutin Charnvirakul dismissed concerns about government stability, framing the upcoming parliamentary oversight as a standard democratic process.
