The Qatari Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has initiated the registration period for the upcoming 2026-2027 winter camping season. Within the first two hours of the opening, authorities successfully processed 141 applications, comprising 97 land-based sites and 44 marine locations. To improve accessibility, the Land Protection Department in Duhail established specialized support services for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. Hamad Salem al-Nuaimi, who leads the Winter Camping Committee, oversaw the operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to environmental protection standards. The government has implemented updated procedures designed to simplify the application experience for residents while maintaining oversight of camping activities throughout the season.
