The Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind (QSCCB) has initiated a ten-day awareness campaign running from October 8 to 18, 2026. This project, conducted in partnership with various cultural, youth, and educational organizations, coincides with World Sight Day and International White Cane Safety Day. The program includes a series of workshops, exhibitions, and digital competitions designed for students, public sector staff, and youth groups. The primary objectives are to educate the public on visual impairments, emphasize the importance of the white cane in fostering independence, and improve social interaction techniques with blind individuals. By addressing common misunderstandings, the initiative seeks to promote a more inclusive environment where societal differences are viewed as a source of strength and unity.
