During the 81st UN General Assembly in New York, Qatari Minister of State for International Co-operation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad advocated for the swift transition to the second phase of the Gaza peace roadmap. This phase includes a total Israeli withdrawal, the deployment of a stabilization force, and extensive reconstruction efforts. The call comes as UN reports highlight an unprecedented economic decline within the enclave. Qatar, working alongside Egypt, Turkiye, and the United States, remains committed to the framework established by UN Security Council Resolution 2803. To support these recovery efforts, Doha has provided approximately 30 million liters of fuel to Gaza over the last three years and recently formalized a new cooperation agreement with the United Nations to further assist the region.
