The Royal Thai Navy has announced that members of the public can secure free seating to observe the upcoming Royal Barge Procession on the Chao Phraya River. Reservations are open for two full-dress rehearsals scheduled for October 21 and 28, 2026, as well as the main event on November 6, 2026. This ceremonial journey serves to transport His Majesty the King to Wat Arun Ratchawararam for the presentation of Royal Kathin robes, honoring the 48th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Suthida. The procession will showcase a grand fleet of 52 barges operated by approximately 2,200 naval personnel. The formation, which stretches over a kilometer in length, will navigate from the Rama VIII Bridge area, providing a rare cultural spectacle for spectators who register for the designated riverside viewing locations.
