The 15th International 100-Second Film Festival is scheduled to take place in Tehran from September 15 to 18 at the Art Bureau of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization. A total of 170 short films have been chosen for the main competition, divided into national, international, and the specific “For Homeland” categories. Directed by Mohaddeseh Pirhadi, the event focuses on themes related to the future, children, and the homeland. The festival is recognized for its strict time limitations, which require filmmakers to craft concise yet meaningful narratives. Since its founding, the event has acted as a venue for emerging talent to explore the potential of short-form storytelling. This year’s edition aims to showcase a variety of global viewpoints, highlighting human experiences and aspirations through brief cinematic works.
