Sammilito Islami Bank PLC has resumed standard financial services, successfully processing withdrawals for 6,000 clients on the initial day of its payout initiative. The institution disbursed a total of 2.5 billion Taka to depositors who submitted requests. Alongside these cash returns, the bank has also reactivated online fund transfer capabilities, signaling a return to more stable operations following a period of stagnation. This entity was established by consolidating five Shariah-compliant financial institutions: EXIM Bank, Union Bank, Global Islami Bank, Social Islami Bank, and First Security Islami Bank. This merger process was originally launched under the direction of the previous interim administration. While the unified bank is now operational, the individual branches of the five original banks continue to function as part of the ongoing transition.
