The recently enacted Commercial Transactions Law in Saudi Arabia is designed to modernize the national investment climate by ensuring greater stability and enforceability for business agreements. This legislation serves to protect the rights of all participants involved in commercial activities. It functions in conjunction with the Civil Transactions Law, which acts as a foundational framework for the legal system. In instances where the Commercial Transactions Law does not provide specific guidance or where established commercial customs are absent, the Civil Transactions Law will be applied to resolve legislative ambiguities. By integrating these general legal principles, the new framework aims to create a more robust and predictable environment for conducting business, effectively closing regulatory gaps and reinforcing the overall integrity of commercial practices within the Kingdom.
