The Chairperson of Qatar Museums, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani, participated in the formal opening of the Centre for Contemporary Arts Tashkent. This facility represents Uzbekistan's inaugural permanent venue dedicated to contemporary art. Located within a renovated 1912 industrial structure, the center serves as a hub for research, cultural dialogue, and multidisciplinary artistic expression. The event marks a milestone in bilateral relations, coinciding with the launch of a five-year partnership between Qatar Museums and the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation. This collaboration is structured around the Years of Culture initiative. During her visit, Sheikha Al Mayassa explored the facility and viewed the debut exhibition titled Hikmah, which features a diverse collection of international and local artists.
