The Singapore Police Force recently apprehended three individuals involved in separate instances of illegal moneylending harassment across Bukit Panjang and Jurong West. One notable arrest occurred on October 16, when a 31-year-old suspect was intercepted by a resident at a Segar Road housing block. The occupant noticed the man carrying a bag containing paint cans and detained him until authorities arrived shortly after midnight. This incident was part of a broader enforcement effort that saw two other suspects taken into custody during the same week. Police seized various items, including paint and markers, which are commonly used to intimidate debtors. These arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement and the community to combat unlicensed moneylending activities in residential neighborhoods.
