A local running community known as X-Run Singapore, in collaboration with Key Power Sports, successfully relocated their exercise session indoors to avoid poor air quality. On October 17, the group obtained authorization from Marina Square management to utilize the shopping center's premises before standard operating hours. Social media documentation confirms that at least 12 participants completed their workout while the retail facility was still closed to the public. This initiative serves as a response to the recent deterioration of air conditions in Singapore, which has forced the cancellation of numerous outdoor sporting events, including the Great Eastern Women's Run. Furthermore, ActiveSG has implemented temporary closures of various outdoor and non-air-conditioned sports facilities across the nation to protect public health during this period of haze.
