The South Korean stock market maintained its upward momentum for the third straight day on Tuesday. The KOSPI index saw a modest increase of 0.15 percent, closing at 7,017.91 points, following positive trends in the semiconductor industry and a strong performance on Wall Street linked to artificial intelligence developments. Although the index initially surged by more than 2 percent during the morning session, these gains were partially offset later in the day. This retreat occurred as both retail and institutional participants engaged in profit-taking activities regarding major technology stocks. Despite the late-session cooling, the market managed to sustain its positive trajectory throughout the trading day.
