The National Police Agency of South Korea has announced the deployment of approximately 7,800 officers across the country to oversee crowd control during the upcoming Halloween weekend. This safety initiative, which runs from Friday through Sunday, marks the fourth Halloween since the 2022 Itaewon tragedy. Authorities are concentrating their resources on 28 high-traffic zones, with 14 of those locations situated within Seoul. The operation involves a combination of riot police, regional patrol units, and investigative detectives tasked with maintaining order and preventing potential accidents in areas expected to draw large gatherings of revelers.
