A recent National Momentum Survey indicates that the primary impeachment accusation recognized by Filipinos against Vice President Sara Duterte is the alleged mismanagement of confidential and intelligence budgets. Among the 1,487 adults surveyed between August 18 and 23, 2026, approximately 38.7 percent cited the misuse of these funds as a key charge. Conversely, 35.3 percent of respondents stated they were unaware of any specific allegations. The data collection occurred while legal proceedings regarding the first article of the impeachment complaint were underway. Public recognition of other claims remained significantly lower, with 14.6 percent of participants mentioning grave threats and 13.3 percent noting allegations of bribery linked to a government department. The findings highlight that financial transparency issues remain the most prominent aspect of the impeachment process in the public consciousness.
