Thai immigration officials conducted raids on three residential properties in the Sai Mai district of Bangkok on October 22, resulting in the apprehension of 14 individuals. The group, identified by authorities as Hong Kuan, allegedly managed an online gambling platform known as HGA and operated a fraudulent call center. Among those detained were ten Chinese citizens, three individuals from Myanmar, and one Thai national. The police operation was initiated following a tip-off from a 25-year-old Chinese man who had fled the organization. He provided investigators with evidence regarding the group's illicit activities and disclosed that the network intended to move its operations to Cambodia to evade intensified law enforcement efforts within Thailand. The investigation into the syndicate's operations remains ongoing.
